FAQ

How do I get to Praia de Santa Cruz?

Most guests choose our group airport shuttle (≈€15–25 pp, 1 h). Public bus + metro or Uber/taxi are alternatives. We batch arrivals/departures to share costs

Do I need my own surf or skate gear?

No—premium longboards, surfboards, wetsuits, pads and yoga mats are all provided. Bring your personal board only if you prefer.

I’m a complete beginner—will I slow others down?

Not at all. Classes split by ability; many participants see their first pop-up or cross-step here.

Is equipment included? Do I need to bring my own longboard? I don’t have a longboard—can I still come?

You’re covered! We provide top-quality boards, pads, surf gear and yoga mats for every lesson, and you can keep using them throughout the week. Bring your own board only if you really want to ride something familiar.

How much money should I take with me?

Santa Cruz is refreshingly affordable: coffee < €1, light breakfast €2.5–3, casual lunch €7–8, restaurant dinner €15–20. On day one we hit the supermarket so you can DIY lunches at camp, meaning you’ll likely spend what you do at home—or less if you’re from pricier places like Germany, the US, the Netherlands or France. If you fancy new gear, budget extra for our in-camp discounts on Paris Truck, Blood Orange and Bastl Boards equipment.

Can I buy longboard gear during the camp?

Yes—stock permitting, our partner brands (Paris Truck, Blood Orange, Bastl Boards) sell trucks, wheels and decks on site with special guest-only discounts.

What is the average age of the participants?

Most campers are 30–40 years old, but we’ve welcomed riders from 18 to 60. Age is just a number—if you’re stoked to learn, you’ll fit right in.

How do I pay?

Once we confirm your spot, you pay the deposit by bank transfer or PayPal. The remaining balance is settled at check-in (cash, credit card, or PayPal).

Reviews

@Theverityann ‘‘I will make it short. I had the most amazing week of my life at the longboard camp in this beautiful place @feelviana

@Evalindeberger ‘‘This has been one of the best and most fun weeks ever. The entire concept; learn something new, hanging out with a bunch of strangers that quickly became a close group, get physically tired while getting mentally charged. Beautiful settings, delicious food, live music and nice weather.
