Longboard-dancing Pioneer & Founder of The Longboard Camp
Hi, I’m Valeriya. I was born in Russia and first stepped onto a skateboard while studying in Finland. In 2016 I chased the sun—and my board—to Portugal’s Silver Coast. Because there was no longboard-dancing scene there, I created one: first with Longboarding Days & Nights, and then in 2018 by founding The Longboard Camp in Praia de Santa Cruz. A homemade clip of my “Peter Pan” steps soon topped three million views, and today my camps, online courses and community events welcome riders of every age and level. Featured in Condé Nast Traveller and other media, I now share my passion with more than 569 k Instagram followers, keeping longboard dancing accessible, joyful and safe for all.

Safety is my absolute priority. At every camp I personally make sure everyone hits the track only in helmets and full pads, following our “fun & safe” program—learning new tricks step by step so you get the adrenaline without the unnecessary risk.
Guests must follow staff instructions to keep everyone safe. We use quality equipment and run beginner-friendly, coached sessions; for the optional extra surf lesson, insurance is included.
