300-Hour YTT with KESTYOGA
Fifteen ocean-side days to earn your 300-hour badge under Jonah Kest’s direct mentorship. Wake in jungle air, flow through sunrise Ashtanga, then dive into sequencing, functional anatomy, yin, meditation and the Seven Doorways Kest Method—taught outside Jonny Kest’s studio only here. Afternoons balance lecture labs with salt-water-pool swims or hammock naps; evenings end with Pacific sunsets and organic farm-to-table buffets. Between sessions you’ll trade feedback in small breakout pods, refine hands-on adjustments, and record your own practice on the studio’s polished hardwood floor. Graduate with an RYT300 certificate, a personal Anapana meditation habit, and a toolkit that turns classes into moving meditations.

Curriculum – What Fills Each Day
Your two weeks unfold inside a “sacred container” of practice and feedback: hours on the mat refining form, hours off the mat breaking sequences apart, and plenty of circle time to trade honest reflections. Below is the scaffolding we’ll keep circling through.
Seven Doorways: The Kest Method Jonny Kest’s signature system—shared outside Detroit only here—gives you the full toolkit for unlocking modern Ashtanga Vinyasa. Its secret lies in disarming simplicity, seamless union with meditation, and the reminder that nothing is ever fixed.
Architecture of Flow Vinyasa sequencing is an art and a science. You’ll learn to “catch the current,” design free-flowing sun salutations, and pair postures so they propel students toward inner silence. We dig into the why as much as the how.
Teaching Mastery Beyond flawless cuing, great teachers guide students back to themselves. Expect drills on tone, timing and presence—and coaching on how to stay in equanimity while your class evolves.
Self-Inquiry Meditation, journaling and group discussion surface blind spots and old patterns. As you free yourself, you’ll find it impossible not to pass that freedom on.
Yin Yoga – 30 hrs A functional yin approach that fuses ancient meridian theory with modern fascia science to restore physical, mental and emotional balance.
Functional Anatomy – 60 hrs Hands-on labs cover optimal alignment, tissue and joint health, ranges of mobility and safe adjustments—everything you need to build sustainable practice plans.
Philosophy – 60 hrs Dive into context and wisdom: the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita, Tantra and Sāṃkhya. These texts become living guides for modern teaching.
Mobility + Animal Flow Raw, unedited movement drills—primitive locomotion, joint-specific mobility—that expand your sequencing vocabulary while bullet-proofing bodies against injury.
Meditation The root of it all. You’ll leave with a daily Anapana practice that quietly rewires every relationship, on and off the mat.
Business of Yoga Jonah pulls back the curtain on right livelihood: branding without hype, social presence with integrity, and practical steps for sharing yoga with the wider world.
