Ride the Peaks, Taste the Culture

Ride the most scenic corner of Austria where three countries meet. The camp is based in alpine Bludenz (600 m a.s.l.) with panoramic views, and spends the week exploring Pfänder’s lookouts, the glacier‑capped Silvretta ridge and the turquoise folds of Bregenzerwald. Evenings aren’t just recovery: the first night drops you into Bregenz’s famed arts festival—opera on a floating stage—while later days may swap cleats for hiking “above the clouds”, specialty coffee, and a photo day with a pro shooter. Expect over 500 km of riding and 6 000 m of gain across borders, backed by a ride leader, support car, tech help and a well‑stocked first‑aid kit.

/ ITINERARY

Itinerary

The camp spins through the most scenic corners of Vorarlberg: rolling out from Bludenz into forested valleys, climbing to Pfänder for three‑country panoramas, and pushing higher toward the glacier‑rimmed Silvretta range. Expect turquoise lakes, long alpine switchbacks and that satisfying mix of fast descents and steady, meditative climbs.

Culture threads through the week too. The opening evening drops you into the Bregenz Festival, where an opera unfolds on a floating stage over Lake Constance. Along the way you’ll taste Austria itself—think schnitzel, goulash, käsespätzle, apple strudel or a slice of Sachertorte after a big day in the saddle.

There’s room to step out of the pedals: a hike “above the clouds”, a coast along Bodensee’s shore and the Rhine estuary reserve, and a full photo day with a professional shooter. Mornings start unhurried, with specialty coffee rituals before the group rolls out.

Behind the scenery runs solid support: a ride leader on every outing, a follow car stocked with spares and first‑aid, and a friendly local workshop for anything the toolbox can’t fix. Over the week you’ll cover roughly 500 km and rack up more than 6 000 m of climbing—daily routes sit in the 80–150 km / 1 000–2 000 m range and flex to match the group’s legs.
