Paragliding Athlete & Tandem Pilot

Hi, I’m Elisa Deutschmann, born in 1996 and raised in a small Bavarian village where peaks, forests and the Chiemsee shaped every day of my childhood. Endless ski tours, trail runs and bike rides forged an addiction to movement, and when I clipped into a paraglider at twenty-three I knew I’d found my favourite way to travel through the mountains. Today the Alps are still my playground, but the sky is my home. 

Since 2019 I’ve logged thousands of flights, earned my state-certified DHV tandem licence in 2023, and raced hike-and-fly events across five XContest seasons. I coach on Skywalk’s pro team, serve as the youngest member of Sunlight’s Adventure Crew, and spend summers chasing thermals from the Dolomites to Åre. 

Between flights I host Paragliding GirlsCamp—women-only bivouac trips that blend yoga, route-planning and sunset glides—produce the documentary A Journey 2 Mont Blanc and share stories with an 88 000-strong community on Instagram. Off the wing you’ll find me ski touring, trail running, kiting or sailing, always chasing lift in every season the Alps offer across the world.
