Co-Creator of The Breathing App
with Moby & Deepak Chopra — a breathwork practice built to reach anyone, anywhere
Hi, I'm Eddie Stern. I've spent 40 years chasing one question: how does yoga actually work? I studied it in Mysore under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, ran it through science labs at NYU and Harvard, and wrote a bestseller trying to explain it in plain English. Now I teach it the simple way — just breath, and a body that already knows what to do.
I'm the founder of Broome Street Yoga in New York and the creator of Yoga Sangraha, a breath-led practice that skips the performance and the forceful stretching. My book, One Simple Thing, made the case that yoga isn't mystical — it's biology — and it's now out in ten languages. I've spent years pairing old teachings with hard science, working with researchers at NYU, Harvard and Long Island University to figure out what actually happens in the body when we breathe on purpose.
